You and I were created to serve Jesus. He purchased us with His own precious blood. Whether we’re driving a bus or teaching kids, preaching a sermon or changing a diaper, we are in the full time ministry. Once we embrace this foundational truth, our lives open up into the vivid colors of God’s faithfulness. It’s incredible to think how God wants to use us to make a difference. He does!

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Eph 2:10 (NKJV)

God wants to use you. You’re His choice. Many times God wants to use you more than you really want to be used but that can be changed as you present yourself to Him.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. Romans 12:1-2 (NLT)

If we want to be great in God’s Kingdom, we must be the servant of all. The great paradox of service is that the way up is actually down, the way of greatness is actually lowliness, the way of success is found in faithful obedience!

When the ten other disciples discovered what James and John had asked, they were indignant.  So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that in this world kings are tyrants, and officials lord it over the people beneath them.  But among you it should be quite different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.  For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:41-45 (NLT)

Step down into ministry and serve Him in your church, in your home, at your work, and with your whole life!  A life filled with brilliant joy filled days awaits you. Make a difference with Jesus friend!
