When things begin to fall apart, so many temptations flood our lives.

In times like these, we must remember the faithfulness of Jesus in holding all things together! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has all things together, and in Him, all things consist.  When your life is falling apart, Jesus is holding it together.

Acts 17:28 (NKJV) “for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’”

The Bible tells us that in Jesus, all things hold together. This is true for every last atom in the universe, and it is also true for our lives. When we trust in Jesus, He holds all things together for us. We can trust Him to be our firm foundation, no matter what life throws our way. Jesus is the same today as yesterday and will be the same forever. We can rely on Him to hold all things together.

Hebrews 1:1–4 (NKJV) “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.”

When Paul the apostle wrote to the Colossian believers, he reminded them that Jesus is the ‘image of the invisible God”. He is “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Jesus, “Christ who is our life,” and Jesus is “Christ, all and in all.” These are amazing truths that support and build our faith!

Have you noticed that when difficulties come, so does the temptation to minimize the power of Jesus? Trials can be like fog, thick and disorienting. When we face problems, it’s easier to think and believe that Jesus is not who He says He is. We begin to think that God doesn’t care, won’t care, and never will care. It’s not true.

Jesus is the foundation of our lives, and He holds everything together. When we trust Him, we can have confidence that He will never let us down. We can always count on Jesus to be our firm foundation. He is the same today as yesterday and will be the same forever. Trust in Jesus to hold all things together for you. He will never let you down.

Colossians 1:16–18 (NKJV) “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”

We need a strong reminder of the faithfulness of Jesus holding all things together.
